This range separates the Highveld grasslands from the bushveld savannah and is composed mainly of quartzites, adding to its unique geological beauty.
Rich in history, the Magaliesberg contains evidence of the San people, the indigenous hunter-gatherers who left paintings on cave walls. The mountains also hold historical significance for the Mopedi and MaShona people.
