Formed by the collapse of a massive volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater spans 18 km across and over a third of a mile deep. It is the largest unbroken caldera in the world, encompassing soda lakes, wetlands, open savannah, and woodlands.

This unique habitat supports diverse species, including leopards, lions, large-tusked elephants, hippos, buffalo, wildebeest, leopards and black rhinos – in their natural habitat. The lake’s shallow waters are dusted with hundreds of pink flamingos. Africa’s largest predator population thrives here, preying on the abundant species within the crater walls.
