July to October

The high season is Botswana’s most popular safari period. It is the best time to view wildlife, and the reserves and lodges are at their busiest, which impacts the Botswana safari cost.

During the high season, entry-level camps in Botswana typically cost between US$500 and US$800 per person sharing per night.

The more luxurious camps start from around US$800 per person sharing per night, with some top-end lodges exceeding US$2000 per person sharing per night.

Mid / Low Season
April to June & November

During the mid to low season, Botswana’s lodges and reserves are quieter, with fewer visitors. However, excellent game and bird viewing opportunities, as well as safari experiences, are still available at more affordable rates, contributing to a more flexible Botswana safari cost.

Green Season
December to March
