Lake Manyara Safaris

Experience Tanzania’s

Lush Safari Gemstones in a Day

Venture into Lake Manyara National Park, a compact Eden that showcases Tanzania‘s captivating wildlife and landscapes. From shimmering soda lakes teeming with flamingos to lush forests echoing with birdcalls, this scenic jewel along the Great Rift Valley awaits your discovery.

Dominated by the vast Lake Manyara, the park covers around two-thirds of its area. This shallow lake is part of a system of four lakes within the Great Rift Valley, sustaining East Africa’s entire flamingo population and hosting an incredible diversity of bird species.

Beyond the lake, the park offers a remarkable range of habitats, from grassy flood plains to dense acacia woodlands, each providing an excellent safari experience. Small enough to explore in one day, Lake Manyara National Park pairs well with safaris in Tanzania’s larger parks, such as the SerengetiNgorongoro Crater, and Tarangire.

Lake Manyara is famous for the thousands of flamingos that create a pink spectacle on its surface as they feed on the algae. The park is also known for its elusive tree-climbing lions and a large number of leopards. Other wildlife includes herds of zebra and wildebeest, elephants, impalas, warthogs, and giraffes. In the lake, you can spot pods of hippos wallowing happily.

Discover the magic of Lake Manyara National Park, where diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife create an unforgettable safari experience.
